NPSI COMMUNITY HUB

No strings attached PVP fun

courtesy of FUN inc / and the wider NPSI community

WHAT IS NPSI?

For many, NPSI introduces capsuleers to PVP, and a whole different spectrum of opportunities within EVE online. Like it or not, NPSI is growing, and is here to stay.

NPSI – or Not Purple Shoot It – quite simply, is fleeting up with the mentality of “if you’re not with me, you’re against me”.

Broadly speaking, in EVE, this means that anyone in your fleet (who by default appear as Purple on your overview & brackets) is your friend, and everything else is a valid target.

NPSI is an opportunity to find new pilots, make new friends, learn new tactics, and have FUN and paint killboards a mixture of colours!

NPSI is the most accessible and quite often the most rewarding PVP content available in EVE online.  At FUN inc, we are working hard to engage with NPSI entities in New Eden to centralise content creators to act as a springboard for cross harmonisation of groups with the sole intent of promoting variety, visibilty, and inclusivity of content.

The aim of the FUN inc NPSI community gateway is to showcase some of the best NPSI PVP content creators out there, but is not a definitive list, nor is it the only content available in New Eden - the sole purpose of this is to allow full transparency of some of the content available.

You will also wish to check out Bombers Bar who focus on black ops and cloaky content  for more information on their fleet listings and content.

HOW TO GET INVOLVED?

Up to 1 week in advance:

  • check the NPSI community gateway calendar for a fleet here

  • fleets are for the most part advertised up to a week beforehand on FUN inc discord

  • check the details of the fleet to see if it is something you are interested in attending

In the days leading up to the fleet:

  • prepare an appropriate ship and move it to the staging system

  • the respective group pages all have details of their voice comms on the NPSI community gateway - please setup comms in advance of the fleet.

On the day of the roam:

  • turn up on time, and in a relevant and correctly fitted ship.

  • XUP on time and in the relevant community channel when prompted to by the FC

  • once in fleet read the fleet MOTD before asking questions - try to minimise fleet chatter in the formup

  • be sure to have a decent PVP overview setup

  • know the limitations of your ship - speed, weapon ranges, ewar and number of drones etc.

Before undocking:

  • make sure you have paste, drugs, ammo, boosters, and drones, and also do not forget to make sure you are in an appropriate clone for PVP and it is set in the staging system.

During the roam:

  • turn off any distractions - listen to the FC and follow orders, and be your own pilot, and make sure you have appropriate watchlists setup.

  • when / if an FC asks for roles to be filled, please offer to take 350 dscan, local watch, short, mid and long scan and probe duty - it takes the pressure off the FC and support pilots and allows them to focus on getting you fights.

  • follow and listen to all FC commands at all times.

  • don't backseat drive!

  • support your FC!

After the roam:

  • Complete the Fleet Feedback form - the individual fleet feedback forms are really important to enable FC development, gauge what content people enjoy, and to enable the NPSI groups to run these events better.  Please spend just 2 mins completing this form thank you!

  • Tell your friends and come back for more!
